The notebook (2013) (Hungary)






This is a movie set in WWII Hungary in Eastern Europe and centers around the plight of 2 young fellas abandoned by their mother to a freak seeming idea of a grandmother, and who makes the star characters  of "Mother of Mine" seem like genuine decent Christians by relative comparison to the level of a bloody scream. Same with the village cast member character portrayal. The hi-light of this interesting movie is the saving grace of dear Diana Magdolna who invites the boys into her bath to give them the only attempt at a real hug by any sincere comparison seeming in the entire movie, including in the moment up to that point. Tragedy ensues. Worth the download - includes scenes with the invading German forces and the plight of Jews being rounded up along the way.
