Witness (1985)

women living with restricted or otherwise limited possibilities
for seeking a partner who might best offer the best prospects
for a romantic exchange from time to time until there is a
settling for periods of time with suitable and more fitting
partners than might otherwise have been the case for them
both. Set in the Amish community near New York where many
scenes are based.
